Who we are

Hype Tested (hypetested.com) is run by one person in Quebec, Canada. Contact: support@hypetested.com.

Hype Tested tests popular finance claims against historical market data and shows the result with its sources and limits.
It is educational. It is not financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and nothing on it is a recommendation to buy or sell anything.
Past results don't predict future results. Data can contain errors; each test lists its sources and caveats.
Results are produced by fixed rules (see How we test). Results are about claims, not about the people who make them.

Free use has limits per hour and per day so the site stays available for everyone.
Don't try to get around the limits or the bot check, overload the site, or use it to break the law.
Result pages may be shared freely. Please link back to the page.

Price: $7 CAD / month or $60 CAD / year, taxes included, charged in Canadian dollars.
What you get: the higher limits and features listed on the pricing page, for as long as your subscription is paid. Pro never changes how a test is computed.
Renewal: your subscription renews automatically every month or year, on the same day you started, until you cancel. The card you used is charged at each renewal.
Cancelling: cancel any time from your account ("Manage billing"). Pro stays on until the end of the period you already paid for, and you won't be charged again.
Refunds: no partial refunds for the unused part of a period. This doesn't limit any right you have under the law.
Failed payments: if a renewal payment fails, our payment provider retries it for a while and emails you. If it still fails, the subscription ends and your account goes back to Free.
Price changes: we'll email you before any price change applies to your subscription, so you can cancel first.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.

You sign in with a link sent to your email. Keep access to that email private.
You can ask us to delete your account at any time (see Privacy).
We may close an account that breaks these terms. If it was paid, we'll refund the unused part in that case.

We work to keep the site running but can't promise it will always be available or error-free.
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and paying members get an email about any change that affects them.

These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and of Canada that apply there.
