Hype Tested is run by one person in Quebec. We collect as little as possible (Loi 25).

What we keep

The text you type into "Test a claim", with how our reader classified it. Kept 30 days to improve the reader, then deleted. Don't type personal information into it.
Claims you send us ("Send it to us instead"): the claim and the reel link, with tracking parameters removed. No name or email. We read them to choose what to test next. Ones we reject are deleted after 90 days.
The tests you run (the settings and the result), so the share link keeps working. They contain nothing about you.
A rate-limit counter: a scrambled code made from your IP address and a secret that changes daily. It can't be turned back into your IP, and it's deleted after 2 days.

TypeSafe (typesafe.ai) receives the text you type, to classify it. They state they don't train on requests.
Cloudflare hosts the site and runs the bot check (Turnstile).

No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking cookies.
